Ways to give

BVMCC is funded by the families who use it. Donations are processed securely and go to the fund you select.

Zakat

Zakat al-Maal

Zakat is not charity in the ordinary sense — it is an obligation on wealth held above the nisab for a full lunar year, and it is owed to specific categories of people.

Zakat given through BVMCC is kept separate from the operations and renovation funds, and distributed to those entitled to receive it. If you need help calculating what is due, or you are in need yourself, write to the board in confidence.

« مَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ مِثْلَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ »

“Whoever builds a masjid for the sake of Allah, Allah will build for him the like of it in Paradise.” Sahih al-Bukhari & Sahih Muslim

Other ways

Beyond the donate button

Monthly giving Set up a recurring contribution on any of the fund pages — predictable income is what lets the board plan.
Employer matching Many South Bay employers match charitable giving. Ask the treasurer for the details your employer will need.
In-kind & volunteering The new building needs furnishing and hands. Tell the board what you can offer.
